Gator Bites

The Gator Bites program is Gregory Gardens Elementary's positive behavior recognition program. Throughout the school year, students earn Gator Bites from teachers and staff for demonstrating our Gator Values through kindness, responsibility, respect, perseverance, and positive citizenship.

Students can save their Gator Bites and redeem them for fun prizes, school privileges, and memorable experiences throughout the year.

How It Works

Students earn Gator Bites throughout the month and can choose to redeem them or continue saving for larger rewards.

Reward requests are collected once each month, giving students more time to earn Gator Bites while allowing teachers and volunteers time to prepare rewards.

Monthly Reward Schedule

• Teacher Turn-In Deadline: Tuesday of Reward Week
• Student Reward Distribution: Friday of Reward Week

Reward Levels

Students may begin redeeming rewards at 5 Gator Bites or continue saving for even bigger rewards and experiences.

• 5 Gator Bites – Small prizes such as stickers, fun pencils, erasers, candy, and temporary tattoos.
• 15 Gator Bites – Slap bracelets, glow bracelets, mini notepads, fruit snacks, and Ring Pops.
• 30 Gator Bites – Mochi squishies, Gator-themed toys, and Bring a Stuffed Animal to School.
• 50 Gator Bites – School privileges like Pajama Day, Assignment Pass, Choose a Spirit Day, TK/K Lunch Helper, Skip a Lap After Lunch, and more.
• 75 Gator Bites – Leadership opportunities including Afternoon Announcements, choosing the class brain break, and Extra Recess for the Class.
• 100 Gator Bites – Special experiences such as Library Assistant, Office Helper, Garden Helper, School Photographer, Popsicle with the Principal, and Visit Another Classroom.
• 150 Gator Bites – Campus leadership roles including Custodian Assistant, Kitchen Helper, Recess Helper, Flag Pole Duty, and the Wheel Recess Invitation.
• 200 Gator Bites – Teacher for the Morning
• 300 Gator Bites – Principal for the Day

Why Gator Bites?

The Gator Bites program encourages students to make positive choices every day while recognizing behaviors that help create a safe, respectful, and inclusive school community. By earning and saving Gator Bites, students learn the value of setting goals, demonstrating responsibility, and working toward meaningful rewards.
